I have loved Delaney ever since fifa 19 and his inform cause i am a Dortmund fan and i liked him very much IRL. Now that he has gone to sevilla he fits perfect in my team with links to Record Breaker Inaki Williams, Llorente and RTTK Jesus Navas. I play him as a CDM in a 4-1-2-1-2(2) and he is very stable in the defense but also in long shots. Now when he is getting upgraded if Sevilla wins thwir next match he will probably rise in prise and will be insane!
What a guy, i might have a colored perspective, cause he is like one of my favorite players IRL.
Even know he use to play for FCK, but what a guy, and he has "Lækkert hår" which is important.
But this guys is a Beast in the CDM position, he interceps everything, his passing is really good, and for a guy who defense like this, his dribling is actaully very good.
He even banged in some solid goal for me.

So I'm a Rank 4-5 Champs, Elite division player who is okay at the game, not amazing. I don't skill or spam mechanics just try to play semi realistic, fun passing football.
I have a La Liga heavy squad and finally decided to try this guy after reading some reviews on here - I have a second account with Sow and as I often play with 1 DM on drop between defenders, a tall, rangy player who can do a job as a CB is ideal. Now Sow is an incredibly smooth and all round excellent player, but this Delaney card, in this role, is better. He's absolutely unbelievably good. He might be the most important card in my team which includes WW Modric, Vs Jesus, Vini POTM and RTTK Rodrygo.
He drops between Alaba and Pique on the ball and is smoother than I assumed, his dribbling stats aren't great but he feels fine - his passing is really good, 4 star weakfoot helps but where he really shines is off the ball - MAN HE IS A BEAST! He is such a unit, knocks players off the ball, intercepts everything, positionally with those L/H workrates he's phenomenal - always in the right spot. He's rapid on a shadow and has great recovery speed.
If you play a drop between DM, or need a midfielder to switch into CB in game - honestly this guy is a must try. Brilliant, brilliant, and dirt cheap card.
Have you ever just chucked a player in your team that you don't really want to use but sort of have to in order to get chemistry? This was the case when I packed an untradeable Headliners Acuña that I really wanted to fit in my team. When building my first team with Acuña I noticed I had this OTW Delaney chilling in my club from the start of this FIFA. I packed him, forgot him, rediscovered him and almost reluctantly put him in my team as his stats looked a bit sub-par with 2* skills and average pace, passing and dribbling. Ugh fine, I thought, it was only for a few games anyway.
Delaney, the card that was used as a mere placeholder in order to fit Acuña in my team has now become the most, and I truly mean it, THE MOST important part of any team that I use. When I'm building a new team or when I pack a new player that I want to fit in Delaney is the first name on every team sheet. I simply can't not use this card in any team I build and believe me, I've tried. I've tried so hard to get rid of him for more exiting options because my god he is such a boring player.
I've used so many different CDM's this year as I mainly play a 4222. Various versions of Kanté, Guendouzi, SMS, Tchouameni, Prime Makelele, Prime Guardiola, Kimmich, Goretzka, hell even HL Seko Fofana have been in my team but yet I still keep coming back to Delaney for some reason.
It's sooo hard to describe it but something just feels off and out of balance when he's not there. He's like glue. He holds the team together. He's like a bulldog patrolling the deep midfield. He's the one that comes in clutch in the weirdest and most awkward situations. He's that one guy that you can just rely on to do his work no matter what. He is a leader. He is my captain.
His tackling, physicality, pace (with Shadow), and defensive awareness is what makes this card so great. His tackles are just so so so reliable. He is one of the very few players that I feel comfortable controlling in a 1v1 situation against glitchy attackers like Mbappe, Benzema and Fekir. His tackling is insanely sticky and his physicality and aggression allows him to smash through players.
If this card gets another upgrade he'll probably stay in my team for the rest of the year. He might just do that anyway. He is that good.

Decent enough passing, shooting and dribbling for a CDM.
I use Delaney as Pivote/holding midfielder who stays back in a midfield 3. This guy reminds me of Kante in previous fifa's where you felt you couldn't get past them. He even has physicality on top of that so he can win headers too. His passing is fine (I don't often try to do long balls with him but he can do them if needed). He also has 4* WF which means he can do passes with either foot - this is very important if you play him in the middle of the pitch which I recommend. Whack a shadow on this guy and let this guy control the middle of the pitch defensively. His tackling, positioning and interceptions are perfect - he does this job so well that I won't let go of this card for a long time and will build my team around him. Being Danish and playing for Seville does make it tough to build a hybrid around - but I'm willing to make compromises to have him in my team.

Vision/dribbling/balance mean he isn't going to be your team's creator in midfield. He can still take people on and run with ball in counters, but this isn't his main job.
Played him at CB ingame and hes absolutely crazy, great tackles and never gets outpaced especially with hes new upgrade, for only 20k hes super good, probably a great CDM aswell.

well, this is my first review, always thought that this day will come when one of my attackers will keep scoring unbelieveable goals but no, what this man brings to the team is just beyond any expectation, the defensive awareness, the stability in the defense both in the midfield and in the box, I used him for over 100 games and it still shocks me every time, he will be always there when you make a mistake and when your cb is out of position he will cover, his aggression and tackles are so insane, I can keep praising him with words but nothing I will say will do him justice, pick him up for this joke of a price and put a shadow on him with stay back while attacking instructions, I assure you, you will love this guy, I never would have thought he will stay in my team for so long but now I just can not let him go.
For context, I have used kante, vieira, pep prime, llorente, guendouzi and more I don't remember, I am not going to say they are worse because every card is bad at one thing while being better in the other, but if you are looking for pure defensive midfielder the only guy that is on the same level is the legend patrick vieira, and it is just shocking how delaney is THAT CHEAP.
I have ones to watch messi with very high contribution, but what delaney does for me is way way more game changing, I would be conceeding so so much more without him.
Bottom line, if you need something to help you defend you have to atleast try him, do not let the price or the rating fool you.
Positioning - insane defensive awareness, keep him either on stay back or drop between defenders and he will always be there where you need him(stay back is more consistant, you can still try drop between defenders, but he will be less agressive and make less interceptions outside the box)
Strength - Very strong, will drop weak attackers without giving a foul, L2 with him is very solid, hard to take the ball from him when you press it.
Agression - Argueably even more important then the actual tackling, his agression combined with his very good defensive awareness is so lethal, he will be agressive in all the moments where you are falling asleep or cant select him because the game does not let you.
Tackling - the reach is unreal, always gets the ball when I press circle.
Shooting - yes, I have only 2 goals with him, but that is only because he never goes out of position, if I get the chance to shoot outside the box with him, he always makes the gk sweat and gets me a corner, the 2 goals I scored with him are headers which is my next point.
Heading - good, above averge, he is not cr7 or ibra, but if positioned correctly he will score them, the only reason I do not score with him enough is because I pass corners and I do not abuse the corner glitch.
Passing - Great passing, more then the stats suggest, he never and I will repeat never ruined a transition because of a bad pass.
Pace - Rapid, he is not kante, but if you compare him to vieira or fofana, it feels very simillar.
Skills - none existent, delaney never makes runs, he will never f u over and go out of position unless instructed to hence why skills are never necessary
Dribbling - its in cons only because its average, I wouldnt say its bad or good but ts better dribbling then the average cb has.
Delaney "The Beast" is one of the best CDM´s in this game. I´ve used many players like Kanté and Fred but this card is just different. He´s always at the right place and catches every ball that is going in his direction. His passing is not the best but much better than Kanté. In my opinion he´s the best Non-Icon CDM in this game and he´s carrying my defensive Midfield.
Brick wall. 182 games as of right now. Mostly Rivals with some Weekend League. Sub him into SB objectives to close out games. The upgrade to 86 was massive for me. Run him w/ a Shadow as my stay back CDM. He's plenty fast. His physical presence is what sets him apart. He's "big" on the pitch. Bodies dudes off the ball. Wins just about every aerial battle in midfield and clears corners like a CB. His CPU always seems to track back into the right area. Passing does the job as well and he isn't too stiff. Prefer him 10/10 to Kante due to physical presence and better passing. Good on basic or cut passing lanes. I prefer my CDM to not have High/High. Love Kessie RB but he tends to push forward even w/ stay back instructions which drains stamina in late stages of games. Delaney can go 120 min and when he does get forward he hangs back as that outlet to reset the attack. Also does great job busting up counters, which is crucial this FIFA.
his pace is decent for a CDM but you find out that he feels a little bit too slow which can be a hassle. sometimes he comes with the attack and tries to get in the box. but at that point the pace hits hard and the defenders will be quick to counter you.

as a CDM you shouldnt really dribble with him his dribbling isnt the worse but he can feel a little bit rough when dribbling and with low balance its sometimes pretty hard and only 2 star skills are skills also not a option.

76 shooting is pretty good for a cdm but he misses to often long and close range arent really that good so its easier to miss the shots
Defending 7.5/10
his defending is good he is a tank hard to get through tries to get the ball a lot and stands on the good spots.
Passing 8/10
his passing is good long and close range. 90% of the passes you give will always be a good ball and is amazing player to create a counter attack
Physic 8/10
he is a tank i will almost never fall and most of the times push the players away
